The Department of Irrigation has announced that several areas in the Kelani River basin may experience flooding within the next 48 hours due to adverse weather conditions.
According to the report, low-lying areas in the Divisional Secretariat divisions of Dehiowita, Ruwanwella, Seethawaka, Dompe, Homagama, Kaduwela, Biyagama, Kolonnawa, Colombo, and Wattala are at risk of flooding.
