It has been reported that actress Damitha Abeyratne’s name is not included in the nomination list for the Ratnapura District.
Accordingly, Samagi Jana Balawegaya’s Ratnapura District Leader Hesha Withanage has stated that, despite the significant service she has rendered to the party at the national level, opportunities will not be given to those brought in from outside the Ratnapura District.
Recently, actress Damitha Abeyratne announced that she would be contesting in the upcoming general election from the Ratnapura District.
