Iranians contribute gold to fundraising campaign for Hezbollah.

Published:

Iranians donated gold at a fundraiser for Hezbollah and Lebanon held at a mosque in Tehran on Saturday, as witnessed by on-ground reporters.

The fundraiser carried the slogan: “Golden Empathy, Iranian women and mothers donate gold in support of Lebanon.” Women were seen offering pieces of jewelry at a stand adorned with posters of the late Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah, alongside Iranian and Hezbollah flags. Reporters observed a box filled with numerous pieces of gold jewelry.

These donations come as Iran reaffirms its ongoing support for Hezbollah and Lebanon.

Tehran has been covered in billboards and posters of Nasrallah, who was killed last month in an Israeli airstrike in Beirut. These displays reflect Iran’s steadfast support for Hezbollah, particularly after Nasrallah’s death and the group’s struggles under Israeli military pressure.

Iran is also preparing for a potential Israeli retaliation following its October 1 ballistic missile strike on Israel. Tehran’s leadership has warned of a “crushing response” if Israel targets Iranian soil.

The Iranian government is actively engaging in diplomatic efforts with Middle Eastern countries to see if they can reduce the scale of Israel’s potential response or, if that fails, help protect Tehran, according to sources familiar with the situation.
