Former State Minister Mr. Sujeeva Senasinghe is to be appointed as the Kandy district team leader of Samagi Jana Balawega. Mr. Sujeewa Senasinghe said that the leader of the party Mr. Sajith Premadasa and Mr. Ranjith Maddumbandara asked him to accept that position.
He says that he is ready to give maximum support to the decision taken by the party.
Meanwhile, Kandy District Member of Parliament Mr. Lakshman Kiriella will lose the opportunity to enter Parliament from the Samagi Jana Balawega national list, the party sources said. Instead, his daughter is to be nominated from the Kandy district list.
When journalists asked Mr. Kirilla about this, he said that he could not comment on it.
