The Sri Lanka Railway Department announced that train services on the Upcountry line will be limited from tomorrow (09) until the 15th due to a joint Indo-Sri Lankan film project.
From tomorrow until October 15, 2024, train services on the Upcountry railway line will be restricted to operate only between Colombo Fort and Ella stations from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM. This is due to the filming of a joint Indo-Sri Lankan movie on the Nine Arches Bridge located between Ella and Demodara during this period.
The Department stated that the film is expected to boost tourism in Sri Lanka once it is released, and the filming is being conducted with the approval of the Ministry of Transport.
